Employment and Unemployment Survey

The Employment and Unemployment Survey (EUS) is a household survey conducted every five years to collect information on various labour force indicators at national and subnational levels. The survey aims to obtain comprehensive statistical data on the country’s workforce, including the employed and unemployed persons, the size and structure of the workforce, changes in the labour market over the years, and the inactive population of working age.

The data collected from the survey is significant in designing and evaluating government policies aimed at promoting and creating employment, including training programmes, schemes to help people start or return to work, assistance in setting up an enterprise, and other incentives for employment promotion.
